What We Do
Sunday Mornings @ Wokingham Youth Centre
Although no two Sunday morning meetings are the same, there is a general pattern which we hope will allow new guests and visitors to feel comfortable and relaxed during their time with us.
Meetings start at 10.30 am with everyone together for a time of worship. Around 11am, the younger children are invited to go to their age-group activities. Parents can take children through to their groups, then rejoin the main congregation once they are settled. At the end of the praise and worship, the teenagers will usually leave for an organised time together, while the adults remain for a period of teaching and sharing God’s word from the Bible. We occasionally have guest speakers or specific topic-related mornings when this pattern may vary, and spontaneity is encouraged if people wish to contribute.
We usually finish with a time of prayer before relaxing and chatting over tea, coffee and biscuits. We recognise that many of our visitors on Sunday mornings are new to our Church, and trust that being with us will be an enjoyable experience and one of great benefit for all.
Prayer & Bible Study @ Kings House
Sunday evenings at 7:00pm and Tuesday mornings at 9:00am see regular prayer meetings at Kings House, Shute End, Wokingham.
Cell Groups - around Wokingham
Cell is the name we give to our small groups, generally made up of 8-12 people meeting weekly in each other’s homes or at Kings House. Most Cells meet in the evening, but a few get together during the day, and some Cells are age-based (youth, retired, etc). Through the friendships that form in Cells, we encourage and support one another. Each Cell aims to grow and evolve, with God’s help seeking ways to aid and support our families, friends and others around us. For more information please click here
Gateway Course @ Kings House
If you want to become a committed member of Kings Church Wokingham you will be invited to attend a 5 week programme which we call the Gateway Course. This course is usually led by an elder with others in leadership roles attending on weeks specific to their areas of responsibility. For more details please click here
