If you want to learn about the basic beliefs of the Christian faith, in a non-threatening atmosphere, an Alpha course is for you. Designed particularly for people with little (or no) church background it explains a range of subjects in ordinary language with opportunities for you to ask your own questions on every subject. Whether you have very deep questions or you are just curious about things, Alpha will give you an opportunity to explore further.

Après church was an idea born from one too many lattes. We are just a group of friends looking to get to know God better together. We want to explore christianity and to share that journey with anyone open and honest enough to join in. We are seeking a different expression of church, something not based on denomination, structures, or programmes. Using ideas from the book “Café Theology” and some good coffee, we’ll be asking why these questions matter, taking the discussion wherever it goes.

Wokingham churches cooperate in taking the message of God's love into the community in a variety of practical ways. In 2006 this culminated in 12 churches co-operating to stage various activites, with a main week in August which had 10 social action projects, community events, a youth event, a speaker event, art exhibitions as well as other events. It was a great success, with around 300 volunteers contributing over 2500 hours of community service, and around 2500 people attending the various events. Visit The Big Idea
